Trap (Ganth Adhesion):

 

Create a coating of adhesive glue-like substance to cover a surface.

Prerequisite(s): Adventurer abilities: Thief, "Set Trap".
Modification Point Cost / Cost to learn: 6 / 25 white-gold. It will take 1 hour to learn this trap.
 
Ability/Spell-points to set trap: 3 ability-points.
Activating the trap: Physical contact with the Ganth Sap.
Area of effect: Where the sap is applied.
Arm time (time to arm this trap): 5 turns (25 seconds) per space sap is applied to.
Audible effects: None, until the victim of the trap attempts to pull out of it, in which there is a sticking, popping, sound.

If a thick layer of soil is spread upon this sap, it willsoak into it, nullifying the trap's effect in 1-D4 turns.

Disarm time: To clean this type of trap up will take 1 hour per space. It would be better to freeze it (time depends on how you do this), or cover it with a thick layer of soil (2 turns (10 seconds).
Duration:

Any creature touching this sap will stick to it for 1-D4turns each time contact is made with the ganth gluesurface unless a success avoidance-roll vs. "Paralysis" is rolled.

 

The potency of Ganth Adhesion will last for a time.  See: "Duration" for "Ganth Tree" in the G Section of the Plants Book.

Effect time: Instant.
Explanation and Effects:

The thief will layer any non-soil-like surface with the clear, thick, sap of the "Ganth Tree".

 

This strong sap is nearly invisible to the naked eye, and will instantly adhere to most anything that comes in contact with it.

 

It will hold any creature immobile that has a strength of 1 to 5, which makes it very desirable in that it can be used against insects and small rhodents which come in contact with it. See: "Duration" of the "Ganth Tree" in the G Section of the Plants Book.

 

Any creature that has a 6+ strength will be slowed as follows:
